Why We Started Locum Agents Anesthesia
Locum Agents Anesthesia was founded by Christian Rubio, CRNA, and John Curley, two people who came to anesthesia staffing from different sides of the same conversation.
Christian brings firsthand clinical experience as a CRNA, with work across hospitals, surgery centers, GI and ambulatory settings, trauma environments, and multiple anesthesia practice models. He understands what providers need to feel prepared, respected, and confident walking into an assignment.
John brings 17 years of locum tenens and healthcare staffing experience, with a background that spans startup agencies, established staffing firms, national recruitment platforms, and one of the largest organizations in the industry. He has built teams, led recruiters, worked across healthcare specialties, and seen what strong internal recruitment teams need from an outside agency partner.
Together, we bring two perspectives that rarely exist under one roof: firsthand anesthesia insight and specialized locum staffing expertise.
That combination allows us to better understand what healthcare facilities need, what providers value, and how to create lasting partnerships that benefit both.

Christian is an actively practicing Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist whose clinical experience shapes every aspect of Locum Agents Anesthesia. Having worked across diverse practice settings and as a locum provider, he understands the importance of clinical fit, transparent communication, fair compensation, and long-term career satisfaction.
As Chief Clinical Officer, Christian works closely with providers and healthcare organizations to ensure every placement is built on trust, quality, and clinical excellence. His goal is simple: help providers find opportunities where they can thrive while helping facilities secure exceptional anesthesia professionals.
John Curley
Co-Founder & President
John brings more than 17 years of experience in locum tenens, healthcare staffing, business development, and client partnerships. Throughout his career, he has helped healthcare organizations solve complex staffing challenges while building lasting relationships with providers across the country.
At Locum Agents Anesthesia, John leads business development, client partnerships, recruiting strategy, and operational execution. His focus is on creating dependable staffing solutions through responsive service, transparent communication, and long-term relationships, not transactional placements.
